Germany’s Helsing and HENSOLDT are collaborating on an autonomous systems project for Euro CCA, with a focus on AI-enabled combat air systems. The CA-1 aircraft will be upgraded with the AI agent Centaur, while HENSOLDT will provide sensor technologies. This partnership may signal Germany’s commitment to developing cutting-edge defense capabilities. As previously reported, the CA-1 is expected to be operational within four years. Breaking Defense has learned that the two companies are also working on a European satellite constellation for Intelligence, Surveillance and Target Acquisition with Norway’s Kongsberg.
