Etihad to Fly Eighth A380 to Tokyo Daily Starting Summer 2025
Etihad Airways is expanding its Airbus A380 operations with the announcement of a new daily service to Tokyo’s Narita International Airport, launching June 16, 2025. The route will mark the return of the airline’s eighth superjumbo to active service and make Tokyo the fifth destination for Etihad’s flagship aircraft, joining London, Paris, Toronto, and Singapore. The A380 deployment reflects strong passenger demand and the strategic importance of business travel between the UAE and Japan. Passengers will experience Etihad’s premium offerings, including The Residence, the world’s only three-room suite in the sky, along with nine First Class suites and 70 Business Studios on the upper deck. This expansion demonstrates Etihad’s commitment to gradually reactivating its stored A380 fleet on commercially viable routes with sufficient demand to justify the aircraft’s economics.
