Embraer-X: Glimpse into Aviation Innovation Engine

Embraer-X, the innovation division of Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer, showcased its forward-thinking approach at the Future Aero Festival in Amsterdam. Led by CEO Daniel Moczydlower, the autonomous division focuses on six key research areas including sustainability, autonomous systems, advanced manufacturing, and artificial intelligence. Notable ventures include the spin-off eVTOL developer EVE Air Mobility and the Energia family of aircraft concepts powered by electric, hydrogen, and hybrid propulsion technologies. Embraer-X’s unique positioning—headquartered in San Francisco with centers in Boston and The Netherlands—allows it to innovate independently while leveraging synergies across Embraer’s four core business units, which all achieved exceptional results in 2024.
