Army Seeks c-UAS Parts for Potential Small Drone Interceptor Program

The U.S. Army is actively seeking industry components for a potential small drone interceptor program, issuing a request for information to identify counter-UAS technologies. The Aviation and Missile Center is soliciting seekers, control systems, batteries, and mission computers at Technology Readiness Level 5 or higher. This initiative addresses a critical capability gap as small unmanned systems demonstrate increased lethality in global conflicts, particularly Ukraine. The Army aims to develop affordable, high-volume solutions for Group 1 drones weighing under 55 pounds, complementing existing XRC and NGCM interceptor programs targeting larger aircraft.
