NRO

Firefly Aerospace has been selected by the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) as a launch provider with its Alpha rocket. As part of the Streamlined Launch Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract (SLIC), Firefly will support NRO launches from both Vandenberg and Cape Canaveral, with a 10-year ordering period valued at up to $700 million.

Firefly Aerospace has partnered with Xtenti to conduct a responsive space demonstration in support of the NRO. Scheduled for 2024, the mission will utilize Firefly's Elytra orbital vehicle and Xtenti's FANTM-RiDE payload dispenser.
