Lufthansa has taken delivery of a Boeing 787-9 with a special centenary livery, featuring dark blue fuselage and white crane symbol. The airline plans to paint five more aircraft in this design throughout 2026.
The US Air Force is procuring two additional Boeing-made 747 jets from Lufthansa to support the VC-25B presidential airlift program. The aircraft will be used for training and spares, with delivery expected early next year.
Lufthansa has completed the restoration of two historic aircraft at its Hangar One facility near Frankfurt Airport. The Junkers Ju 52 and Lockheed L-1649A Super Star will be displayed in the airline's new conference center, which is set to open in 2026 to coincide with Lufthansa's 100th anniversary.
