Ukraine's air force says its F-16s have destroyed over 1,000 Russian aerial targets since entering combat, primarily serving in an air-defense role. The aircraft have relied heavily on internal cannons and targeting pods to intercept threats, rather than air-to-air missiles.

Sweden's defense minister Pål Jonson stated that a Ukrainian peace deal will not impact delivery times for Saab Gripen-E fighters. However, Stockholm continues to explore sending older C and D models to Ukraine as part of its efforts to shore up air capabilities.
