Lufthansa has announced plans to upgrade its Airbus A380 fleet with new business class seats, set to be retrofitted at Elbe Flugzeugwerke in Dresden. The program, starting February 2026, aims to enhance the premium experience on long-haul flights.

Lufthansa-owned Discover Airlines is investing $9-figure sum in new cabin configuration featuring Business Class suites with sliding doors and free Starlink internet. The retrofit will introduce a 'top-tier customer experience' across all three classes, starting with the first aircraft expected to enter service in April 2027.
